New Birth

It started with the arrival of my 1st child and The Evolution of Natural Talent (TENT). Some may disagree, but I believe we have all been gifted and that it's our duty to discover what those gifts are and use it/them to benefit ourselves and eventually, others. For the benefit of humanity. For generations, the majority of us have been doing quite the opposite: being programmed this way; it was not our fault, however it is time to change that! For over 25 years, I’ve been on an uphill self determined sojourn towards healing, purpose and transformation. My programming was more in-house. From parents to siblings and others, I was called and treated as worthless and having nothing to prove otherwise, I soaked it all up…believed it almost...until… The arrival of my 1st daughter in 1991. I’d taken a break from working and of course this brought a significant change to my day to day activities while TENT arrived to expand my mind. It shifted those lies I was told about myself. I questioned things and very soon received a vision which some may deem as crazy, sent me out on a mission. The inTENTion of this blog is to share this truth and to position myself to be of service to you. You will be my witness that I am not so worthless after all. Lol. The Evolution of Natural Talent catapulted me into new territory…with a new husband and two small children. No money. No confidence. No experience. No internet. No support. Our 1st stop was Ghana. Then onwards to Bermuda, America, Jamaica and then back to the UK. We survived (8) years in total; (4) on the road and (4) in JA. On return to the UK, after attending a community event in North London I was immediately invited to deliver a workshop and then thrusted into the world of community work! Donations of everything I needed appeared before me! Workshop space, an industrial sewing machine, all the fabrics and accessories and a whole lot more at no cost to me. I was overwhelmed but this new environment taught me about setting up a social enterprise, how to apply for funding, attend meetings and set up stalls selling and displaying my creations. It was here where I began delivering creative recycling workshops for women and children. A few months later I was nominated and won my 1st award - British Female Innovator and Inventor (BFIIN) for environmental innovation. Honestly, everything happened so fast, I had no other choice but to run with it. So I continued delivering these workshops in schools and community centres until the government cuts began to shut things down, esp for the young people. More recently, I’ve written two memoirs. Very quietly while managing to acquire some very useful professional feedback during the process. My life has been a patchwork of evolutionary experiences that have shaped who I am today. On this platform, I will endeavour to stitch the remnants together. I’ve spent decades happily voluntarily helping communities, mentoring women and working with children, all the while incorporating environmental awareness. There are many endings and new beginnings here. Chapters of old closing, crispy fresh pages, turning. A steady flow to the homecoming of myself, my creativity, my voice and most definitely the establishment of my eco-project idea. With your assistance, I know it will be groundbreaking! This space will offer stability, a place to finally call home. For years, I’ve carried stories, poems, and ideas - tucked away in notebooks and digital documentation…held very close, shielded even. I became burdened with a life full of challenges, …sometimes tender, most times very tough… heartaches and breaks and there have been many reasons and seasons passed where I needed to be hidden in plain sight rather than exposed. If you’re here and you took time to spend a moment with me…I am truly grateful for your presents. Gathering them into one will reveal the abundance of gifts among us. Remembering that our voice, our thoughts, and our art matter… It all Matters! There’s so much more to come… One Brave, Bold and Beautiful step at a time...
