Sometimes, we need to pause, refocus, and re-energize — both ourselves and our businesses. You might be surprised at how small changes can make a big difference. In fact, it’s often the little shifts that spark excitement, lift our energy, and help us step into a new reality.
So, how will you create a shift, re-energize, and refocus?
Here are 5 guiding questions to get you started:
1. Refocus & Set Goals for the Next Six Months
Take 30 minutes to reflect on what you’d love to achieve by the end of the year. Ask yourself:
What am I tired of and ready to change?
What would make the biggest difference in my life or work right now?
What’s the one thing I’d regret not accomplishing by year’s end?
What are my top three priorities for the rest of the year?
What’s one small step I can take this week to move closer to those goals?
2. Change One Self-Sabotaging Habit
Notice where you trip yourself up daily. For instance, I used to check my email before I even got out of bed, which pulled me away from my morning rituals. Now, I wait until 11:30 a.m. to check email — a small change that protects my focus.Ask yourself:
Where do I sabotage myself?
What will I say no to?
What can I do differently to support my success?
3. Shift Your Senses
Freshen up your environment by engaging all five senses:
Sight: Change your décor, hang new artwork, or wear a new color.
Hearing: Try a new playlist or podcast.
Smell: Light a scented candle or use essential oils.
Taste: Add new flavors to your meals.
Touch: Upgrade your workspace textures — a soft blanket, smooth pen, or cozy chair.
4. Renew Your Daily Routine
Even small tweaks can create fresh energy. Try:
A different tea or coffee blend (and treat yourself to a new favorite mug).
Showering at a different time of day.
Adding meditation, stretching, or a morning run.
Shaking up your schedule just enough to feel renewed.
5. Refresh & Energize Your Workspace
Create a space that inspires you:
Replace outdated quotes or images with new, uplifting ones.
Ensure everything you use regularly is within easy reach.
Bring in fresh flowers or greenery.
Move things around to signal to your brain: things are changing for the better!
Bonus: Declutter Your Desk
Take 30 minutes to clear your workspace: file papers, toss dead pens, recycle outdated notes, and dust your surfaces. You’ll feel lighter and more ready for action.
Bonus: Breathe Life Into Your Day
Start your morning with conscious breathing:
Inhale deeply into your belly for 6 counts.
Hold for 2 counts.
Exhale for 4 counts.Repeat for 2 minutes. This simple act oxygenates your blood, calms your mind, and instantly boosts your energy.
